about

The Borderline is my 3rd full length album, and an attempt to make a full concept soundtrack for my own story.
This project started over a year ago and was slowly in the work since then.
Now, I’m finally ready to release it to the world.
Truth is, nothing is ever ready. There is always stuff to improve. But if I don’t release it now, it will probably never happen. So, it’s the best time for that.
In short, I’d say this is my dystopian EQG, with a guy as main character.

Plot wise, this album tells the story of Henry Sullivan (please tell me somebody got the reference I worked so hard to make it funny), a young (30-something yo) fella who lives on Earth in a far dystopian future.
In that future, Earth has been drained of its valuable resources, the moon is no more, and the sun has died, drained as well from its warmth entirely, and replaced with an artificial analogue.
The remaining population on the planet works for the last big megacorporation in charge, while the rest of humanity has already set home in other far stars.
Our protagonist is a scientist, working for a medium size salary on the bastion of said corporation, which is called Skybreach (sorry).
It was originally called Renraku as reference to Shadowrun, but I can’t keep the name for obvious reasons.
After a strange incident, the scientist gets the chance to uncover the truth behind the corporation doings and ends up in the most unexpected situation.
This album tells that story and opens a “lore-path” for my musical MLP fanon, on which I’m slowly working.

Each track has some story written in the description, and you can find the originally written “book” as bonus with the album.

This album is royalty-free. Feel free to use on anything, as far as you credit me and make it free.
If you're making a paid project, feel free to DM me to discuss royalties.

Everything by Skyshard.

Special thanks: Matrix S. Heirfrost for rendering an epic version of the "Atlas" (the one you can see on the cover) and for literally helping me designing it.

Elevator sounds and some other background elements:

Additional thanks: All my dear friends for supporting me during my mental breakdowns caused by this album.

Small little thanks: Microsoft for the latest version of Word 365, because its better than it was the last year and I could quickly fix some grammar on the story like 1 hour before the release.

One of the major inspirations for this album was the world of Shadowrun, and one of the bonus-tracks is dedicated to it, but another big thanks is going to the folk's from Aviators server who organized that writing contest a long time ago, thanks to which I wrote this story.

I'm just a small little pony. No more. No less.
I do music. I cover different genres like EDM, synthwave or hybrid orchestra soundtracks.
Most of my music is based on my headcanon stories about colored horses.
Enjoy.
