And so, this awful year ends.
I can't say it was totally terrible for me; I spend all my time doin' and learnin' music stuff.
I proved to myself that I can do it. That I'm capable to learn and improve (because I could not before, with anything I tried for my whole life).
So... About this EP.
Actually it was all about the Shchedryk cover. I did one in 2019 because that's like the only xmas song I don't hate and actually like, so I was like "what if I cover this every year to check my progress?" and yea, got the 2020 version here. Its a multi-genre thing, which contains basically every genre I tried to do this year. Well. Only 3. Acoustic, EDM and Synth-Orchestra.
Now, for Fireworks, that one actually was called "Canterlot Dance Party" and it was supposed to be driven by fifteenAI voices, but since its still down, I just finished the thing how I could. Hopefully there will be an extended version later in 2021, if the world doesn't end.
And the final song, Skyshards and Dissonances, is something I had in mind for a long time. Progressive western rock.
You might ask, why?
Well, because the first of the 3 fanfiction albums dedicated to Skyshard's story, is supposed to be in this genre.
So I wanted to make it as good as I can, before going into the serious full length stuff the next year.
Now, to finish the story, this EP is a gift for myself and for mah folks, family included. Because this year was bad, and I can't afford actual presents. Yes, I know, xmas passed already, but in my family we follow the Russian tradition and give gifts on new-year and not xmas. That's why the sudden release of this thing. We celebrate xmas, but the gift thing still going between 31 and 1.
Anyway. I hope you kinda enjoy this piece of something, created by me, and I also hope there will be many more of this every year for many years. That's why this is called Vol 1.
