Awaken again, the scientist found himself alive in the dark.
He tries to breathe, only to find out there is still breathable air around. Different. Light. Clear. He could breathe it.
His augmented eyes help him to see through the dak, and he finds out he is in a cave. A stone disk lies on the floor. With the same dots and lines as the Atlas. This was another Atlas. In another place. Another destination.
And the paintings on the walls make it clear; there is life in this place. The figures looked inhuman. They reminded the scientist about horses. A species long extinct on Earth.
Slowly, the scientist makes his way out of the cave, and starts hearing something he never heard outside of simulations. Birds and waves of water.
And then, he makes it outside. A bright, non-artificial sun shines on the skies, filled with vast fluffy clouds. The air feels fresh, natural. The wind gently blows around.
The scientist understands. This can’t be Earth.
