The scientist stands out of the cave, facing the ocean. A thing he never seen before.
His neural interface is still active, but shows no sign of Infranet signal, and can’t figure out the current location.
Soon, he realizes what The Atlas of Worlds is, and how lucky he was to get into a place where a human can survive.
A new world, a new chance. New opportunities.
The scientist is amazed by the beauty of this place yet has no time to waste. He doesn’t know if his medical nanobots will protect him from the local bacteria, and neither he knows what can be considered food in here. His primary goal is to survive, and then, finally, achieve what he never was allowed to do; sit in the boss chair at the tip of the pyramid. A pyramid he could build with the help of the Brush of Creation.
And with these thoughts, he walks the sand across the shoreline, alone, yet remembering the people he could almost call friends.
