Time passes by. Skybreach fought the truth for years, until it consumed it and destroyed.
Yet no one ventured into the abandoned corporate megastructure to find out if the story about the artifact was true or not. And eventually, after decades, Humanity forgot this story.
They never knew who was behind of the heist which exposed the corporation and its secrets, and only heard Downtown stories and theories.
Eventually, Earth gets entirely abandoned by Humanity. The artificial sun gets shut down, and the planet slowly dies, becoming a frozen lifeless shadow floating in a space graveyard.
But Humanity prevails. Far beyond the stars they found new places to call home. The name “Earth” gets forgotten by future generations, but life goes on.
Their stories will be told in other worlds, in other times, but our story has not yet ended.
